Introduction to Audio Description

Following successful fund-raising efforts, the Windsor Theatre Describers Association would like to invite visually impaired people (VIPs), who have not previously experienced an audio described theatre performance, to come to the Theatre Royal, Windsor on Saturday the 18th September.
A limited number of free seats for VIPs and their escorts will be available.
The performance is "Lark Rise to Candleford".
It starts at 4:45pm and we would ask people to arrive at 3:45pm, in time to have tea and an introduction to audio description, with a touch tour of the stage set.
If you would like to apply for tickets, please phone Penny Noakes on 01753 862235 and please leave a message if there is no answer.

After the recent award-winning BBC television series, this play is based on Flora Thompson’s  much loved novel. Seen through the eyes of young Laura Timms, it follows a day in the life and relationships of the farm workers, craftsmen and gentry of the fictional hamlet of Lark Rise at the end of the nineteenth century, as they celebrate the first day of the harvest with music, song and dance.

A moving and thought-provoking evocation of a forgotten England.
